Bill Marshall, Founder and President
Combining a passion for sports and an extensive background in sales and marketing, Bill established TEAM Marketing in 1994 to help link sports and entertainment properties with corporate sponsors. Bill’s unique approach to business, marked by individual attention and personalized service, assures each client receives the level of service necessary to maximize its sports and entertainment marketing initiatives.  

Prior to founding TEAM Marketing, Bill worked extensively in media sales for a variety of sports, including professional golf and tennis. His responsibilities included corporate sponsorships, athlete relations, media and promotions.

A native of South Florida, Bill began his career in advertising sales at the Tampa Tribune. He is a graduate of the University of South Florida and currently resides in Parkland, Florida.

Scott Gurka, Chief Operating Officer
Scott is a seasoned professional with more than ten years of proven success across a wide range of marketing and sales functions. Before joining TEAM Marketing, Scott gained considerable experience in the sports industry as Sales Executive for the Miami Heat.

While with the Heat, Scott oversaw the new business development and management of promotions for clients of this leading NBA team.

Scott began his career at the Honda Classic, a PGA TOUR event. Throughout his six-year tenure with the event, he served as the company’s Director of Sales and Marketing, Corporate Sales Manager and Ticket Sales Manager.

Scott graduated from the University of Michigan in 1994 with a degree in communications and currently resides in Miami.

Karen Carney, Vice President, Marketing Communications
Karen oversees all media relations and promotional activities for TEAM Marketing’s clients. She has over eight years experience in corporate branding, sports and entertainment marketing and public relations.

Karen began her career at Reebok International, Ltd., one of the world’s larges manufacturers of sports and fitness footwear, apparel and accessories. Throughout her seven years with the Reebok International Ltd. Family of companies, Karen held several positions including Manager of Global Marketing Communications for Reebok International and Manager of Public Relations and Entertainment Marketing for The Rockport Company.

Prior to joining TEAM Marketing, Karen spent several years at FitzGerald Communications, a full-service public relations and strategic marketing agency. In addition to sports, Karen’s experience spans the fashion, entertainment and technology industries. She holds a Bachelor degree from the University of Virginia and a Masters degree from Boston University.

Laurie Landgrebe, Vice President, New Business Development
Laurie has over a decade of sponsorship and sales experience with a special emphasis on the areas of property representation, athlete/entertainer endorsements, corporate consulting and naming rights.

Previously, Laurie served as Director of Corporate Sponsorship for Anschutz Entertainment Group (AEG) where she spearheaded the sales efforts for naming rights and national properties including Louisiana Superdome, The Philadelphia Phillies’ new ballpark, the Toronto Skydome, and the National Training Center in Los Angeles.

Prior to AEG, Landgrebe honed her sports and entertainment experience by holding several high level positions in various sports and entertainment enterprises including directing the Sales and Marketing for the Miami Dolphins and Pro Player Stadium, owned by Wayne Huizenga; Pan America Entertainment, a consulting group working on behalf of the Cisneros Organization, and International Management Group (IMG) where Laurie represented the portfolio of IMG properties within the National Sales Group based in New York City.

A 1986 graduate of the University of Connecticut with a degree in business and marketing, Laurie now resides in Miami.
